Conn Valley Right Bank

Inspired by the Merlot-based blends of Bordeaux’s Right Bank, this classy red “has been a winner since its debut release and it continues to be one of Napa Valley’s most interesting wines.” (Robert Parker) It’s made by one of Napa’s most significant winemakers, Todd Anderson, whose commitment to the very highest quality cannot be questioned. A wine of this pedigree is rarely seen at such a fantastic discount and certainly will not last. Composed of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc, the inky/purple-hued wine exhibits a celestial bouquet of blue and black fruits interwoven with notions of camphor, spice, subtle smoke, and incense. Full-bodied, powerful, youthful, and ageworthy, it should drink well for three decades.  On the palate, mocha, chocolate, espresso and ripe raspberries. Lots of layers with sweet integrated tannins, great texture, again black fruit with crushed rocks and silky finish. The finish is long and lingering aftertaste that lasts several minutes. $44.98
